WHO WAS

Randon Lee?

Randon Collage 7.jpg

Randon was important to so many people. His love for his family, his style and the laughter and kindness he brought to everyone he crossed paths with will forever be remembered.

"My son had my heart. My son would help anyone - he loved people and he loved his family. One thing about him, is he was going to come dressed in his best. Style was important to him. I loved that about him. He was happy to be out on his own and in a nice place with his girlfriend, all he wanted to do was take care of her  - and that he did. We will look for him in anyone and everything. The color blue will be everywhere when we need it to be. His favorite color. Randon's name will mean something to others."
- Ophelia Nichols (Founder and Randon's Mama)

"He was one of the funniest, goofiest people I knew. He always found a way to make me or the whole room laugh. He was a hard worker and extremely determined to do things his way and make us proud. I know he was not perfect to a lot of people but to me he was. He was the baby sibling and I always tried to look out for him until he got older. No matter how old he got, I always thought of him as my baby brother. I will hold onto every memory I have of him. "
- Baige Lee (Randon's Sister)

"Randon was my littlest cousin. If you knew him, you knew that he was the most amazing, kind, hard working and funny person you'd ever meet. He lit up the room with his smile. There was no possible way to be upset around him because he would always turn your frown upside down. He always looked out for me and checked on me even though I was older. It didn't matter who or how old you were, he would always do anything to make sure you were taken care of. "
- Olivia Lee (Randon's Cousin)

WHY THE BLUE JAY?

Days before losing Randon, his mother (our founder and CEO) Ophelia, was walking to the mail box and came across a blue jay feather. Normally, she wouldn't pick it up, but something in her led her to pick it up that day. She brought it into the house with her and set it down somewhere, not remembering where she put it. She forgot all about it, until the day of her son's service. On the day of Randon's service, she walked past her dresser and there lay the feather. She brought it with her and placed it in Randon's hand in the casket. Since then, blue jay feathers have popped up anytime she needed a message from her son. It has become a symbol of hope and reassurance, that every step she takes, Randon is right by her side.
